Mittens

My new mittens arrived today.

They're sheepskin, and very snug. Either they are very slightly mismatched, or my right hand is slightly larger than my left. (I have no a priori reason to reject that hypothesis.)

They were mail ordered because if you realize in January that you need mittens, you're unlikely to find much in local stores. I googled, found a few things, and picked these. I am hoping they will be good for days when my gloves aren't sufficient. I expect to take them to Montreal when I visit in the winter, but they probably won't replace the fleece gloves in my coat pocket day to day.

My handspans and finger-lengths are the same for both hands (I'm ambidextrous, as far as the left side allows), but the arthritis and gout has thickened all the fingers on the right side. My left index finger is rotating in now, though, like the right one.
