I've had a nice day, in a low-key way. This morning, my boss Wendy came over specifically to tell me that she'd been working on two things I started—one book I edited, and one I created the ToC [1] for, and they're both good. I like working for people who will make a point of telling me when I've done well.
At lunchtime, I returned a library book, and borrowed a random paperback mystery. As I left the library, I was wondering if I could put it in my coat. Turns out there's an inside pocket that is very nicely sized for that. The manufacturer thinks it's for my ski goggles, and it has taken me a year to notice that I have a use for it.
Also, identifying that what's going on in a paragraph I'm editing is platonism doesn't help me clarify the physics.
