I hadn't been to the gym since before my trip to Montreal this past weekend, so I went today despite the weather, at the cost of cold feet for the trip home. (I didn't want to wear boots and carry my sneakers, because sneakers plus gym clothes won't fit in the small daypack.) Walking home from the subway, on an inch or two of snow, I remembered that four days ago, I'd come down that street in sandals.
