Long-shot: possible job opening

One of the math editors at my company is leaving. When I was talking to Marta (a senior math editor who I like a lot and who is not leaving) she said they are trying to find a replacement, and asked if I know anyone. They are explicitly open to hiring someone who is good at math and has no editorial experience. She did note that this is "assistant editor, not a full editor" though I don't know what that means: perhaps that you wouldn't be responsible for specific books, at least to start.

I can get and send along the job ad if anyone is interested.

For anyone who doesn't know, the company is in midtown Manhattan.

ETA: Apparently we're not hiring right now after all. Sorry.

I'm afraid that while you might get away without trig (I haven't asked specifically, but there isn't a lot of trig in most of the state high school curricula), geometry is necessary.
