This misplacing things is getting annoying.

Leaving stuff behind at [livejournal.com profile] adrian_turtle's home is an irritant,
but no more: I know where my sunglasses, apa, and shirt are, and I will
have them back soon enough.

Yesterday evening I couldn't find my PDA in my bag. Nor is it in the
desk drawer here at work that I hoped it had fallen into. (I have
another spare PDA, but not the belt case.)

This morning, I got to work and couldn't find my card key. I had to get
a paper building pass from the security guard, who is required to ask
for ID even though he greets me by name every morning, and call my boss
to get into our office. Again, I have a hunch as to where that is, but
only a hunch, and am less confident in it given that the Palm isn't
where I'd thought.

When I'm misplacing lots of things-- and cutting and scorching myself-- it's typically an indication that I'm way beyond tired. I hope you're taking care of yourself, and getting help with it!

Yesterday, BTW, I threw away the envelopes contining the invpoices and checks for our property tax payments in a restaurant loo in Idaho Springs-- but happily figured out where I must have misplaced them, and they should have got the High Holy Legal Postmark Date....

I've been losing a lot of things recently myself, enough that I find myself wondering if I should worry about early dementia. Honestly, I think it's just complexities of life plus overscheduling, but I do quietly track it. (I think this is the first time I've mentioned it, though I'm pretty sure [livejournal.com profile] abostick59 is aware that the phenomenon is on the increase. (I've always lost things; this just seems slightly more common and slightly more severe.)
