I produced an acceptable chocolate ice cream using my fine machine and this recipe, slightly modified. It calls for unsweetened chocolate, and I didn't have any; rather than put on shoes and a coat and see if the bodega could supply it, I used dark chocolate and reduced the amount of sugar slightly.

The chocolate part of the mixture was lumpier than it should have been, and the whole process was more work than I'm really happy with, so I may look for more recipes. Or I may go back to buying chocolate ice cream, since Ben and Jerry's sells a fine one, and using my machine for the flavors I can't easily buy.
