I took a full hour for lunch, and went down to Excellent Dumpling for a plate of rice cakes (a.k.a. New Year's cakes, a thick chewy rice noodle, not those crunchy low-calorie snack things) with shrimp. Since it's Friday, I stopped off at Union Square on the way back uptown, and got a half-pint each of blackberries and raspberries.
I called
cattitude when I got back, and told him about this. He asked which were for home. I'd meant both to be, but I asked his preference. He said he'd rather have the red raspberries, but probably won't eat many. So, wanting a nibble (despite a brownie and tea when I got back from my wanderings) I opened the blackberries.
They weren't cold from the icebox, they were warm and tasty, and I ate the whole container, and my shoulder feels a bit better now.
