[livejournal.com profile] cattitude checked this morning and saw that he should be receiving a UPS delivery of books some time today. I've been at home most of the day--mostly doing exciting things like coughing and looking at want ads--but went outside for a little while in mid-afternoon (29°C and sunny, and expected to be maybe 15 tomorrow), just strolling in the park across the street.

I hurried home and back upstairs: I was inside while the driver was still in the UPS truck.

That was an hour ago. I don't know whether the driver somehow sped up after his previous leisurely few minutes of work inside the truck and determined that I wasn't answering the buzzer, or our package wasn't actually on the truck. Either way, I am annoyed: it was nice out there next to the willow tree, but I was willing to head in because I was expecting to be well into Sorcery and Cecelia by now.

[Also, Eudora is tired of waiting for the server. A person could start to feel cut off from the frantic pace of modern life.]
