www.panix.net works. (So, apparently, does .org, but I haven't tried that.)

But Panix is saying to assume that any mail that goes to panix.com may be hijacked, and that it would be prudent to change anything that validates via your panix.com address.

This does leave me just as pleased that I've given the redbird.org vanity domain for so many purposes--redbird.org mail to me from last night and much of today may have been lost, but there are fewer places I need to put COAs. (Anyone who is using that domain to reach [livejournal.com profile] cattitude, you're fine--his doesn't go to or through Panix.)

I hope I'm not speaking too quickly, but toad-hall.com mail from the last 24 hours, which is routed through panix, appears to be unaffected by the domain name hijacking there. I ssh'd in to panix.net, cleared out the unghodly amount of spam bounces I get thanks to a different problem, then successfully downloaded what looked to be a normal amount of mail once I'd reset Eudora to use the Panix workaround. Mail's been going in and out normally since.

LJ isn't all the way here yet, unfortunately. I can get to some pieces of it, but not others. Then, an hour or so later, I can't get to the pieces that were working earlier. Sigh. Fingers crossed.
