I wonder what it would cost to get a bunch of cards printed up that just say "Matthew 6:5-6", suitable to hand to subway/streetcorner religious ranters.

One can buy a box of laser-printer business cards, or postcards, and simply print them out.

And I have some of the former. Let's talk.

I did too (and, irritatingly enough, my copy of the King James is inaboxsomewhere) but yes, nice one!

Yes, yes, indeed yes.

As [livejournal.com profile] roadnotes pointed out, it's easy enough to print small quantities yourself. It comes down to how many you expect to hand out -- there are places that to really cheap business cards if you don't want anything fancy, and this is about as simple as it gets. Startup cost will be more than printing a batch yourself, but the price per card is a lot lower.

I like to stick to Matthew 6:1 myself. The Revised English Bible has it as somthing like "Be careful not to parade your religion before others, for if you do, no reward awaits you with your Father in Heaven".

The brand new Swedish translation has "pious deeds" instead of religion there.

Oh, good one.

BTW, nice to see your face. LJ is like Times Square, hang around long enuf and everyone you know shows up. (I'm sure you can deduce my identity from my profile, but if not, let me know :) )

Given that King James is falling out of common usage (to my ongoing irritation), you might want to specify it on the card.

Re: Sorry, this is a rant not aimed at you

Euw.

iPrint works with my Safari browser and I think you can get 250 cards for $20. Cookies and java/script would certainly be required since they let you design the card online. They also offer stickers. Don't know the price for those.
