Today's redbird update

Well, my mother mentioned a friend of hers who (said she) had recovered from pneumonia in four days, but even if her friend isn't exaggerating, it's taking me longer.

I went for a nice walk this morning: I didn't get all the way around the soccer field, but that was because the tide was very high, and I didn't want to scare off the ducks who were swimming on the temporary pond that blocked the path. I then had the rest of yesterday's dinner for lunch, noodled around online a bit, and took a nap. Now I'm baking apple cakelings: definitely a good sign.

If it was four days, she didn't have it badly enough to need to _recover_, all she had to do was fight off the initial infection. I just find that hard to believe, sorry, so I'm not going to try.
