CVS called me this morning to say that they had to cancel my appointment for a covid booster, because they didn't have the vaccines. They then called [personal profile] cattitude to cancel his Monday appointment, so this looks like they were overoptimistic about when the vaccines would arrive (rather than the delay being related to Hurricane Lee, for which we still had a tropical storm warning at the time.

I told them to cancel the flu vaccine as well--this seemed like a good day to stay in, and I doubt that vaccine will do me much good, because of the Ocrevus. So, I'll get this year's flu vaccine if (and only if) I can combine it with the covid booster.

ETA: Rescheduled for Saturday the 30th. (They had appointments sooner, but I'm going to be in Montreal for a week.)

CVS canceled my Covid vaccine today too, for the same reason. The woman at the counter said she would have called all the people with appointments, only there hasn’t been a moment to do so. I could tell there were only two people behind the counter and they were both being worked off their feet; there was a line at the drive-up window and lots of customers waiting inside.
One of the other customers told me that the next-closest CVS (less than a mile away, and the one he usually went to) was just closed a couple of days ago. It made me so mad; these two women who were clearly trying to do a good job, being left understaffed and overwhelmed.
