I loved Hwarhath Stories! It's one of the most SFnal things I've read in years; the author really gets up to the elbows in worldbuilding.
There's some really excellent Goblin Emperor fanfic, although you do have to wade thru the expected amount of PWP slash to find it. Let me know if you'd like some recommendations. There's a good one about Idra in college, and an outstanding one that's about Maia 30-odd years later, negotiating a treaty with the ruler of the land of the lion-girls. (BTW, the latter of those has given me the head-canon that these are African analogues, with medium to dark brown skin and nappy hair; the ones that are kidnapped and trafficked are called "lion-girls" because the slavers think their hair looks like a lion's mane.)
