I went for a walk this afternoon by myself, about twice as far as I'd gone yesterday with [livejournal.com profile] cattitude: out, down to the nearest willow tree (which is next to one of the two little inlets in the park here), looked at the violets, then turned right and walked until I got to the actual river (Harlem River Ship Canal), found a bench, and sat for a few minutes watching the boats, then came back in. The hard part is the tension in my abs, of course; my legs are fine.

Also, after [livejournal.com profile] cattitude got home, I picked up the spirometer, used it, and observed that every time I do that, my right side hurts. He suggested that this may in fact be part of the point: that the purpose may be to prevent adhesions during the healing, and of course breaking those hurts. But if so, it is highly necessary. So, we persevere.
