progress, albeit slowly

I finally have a key-card for the office, after having been here five and a half months. Previous requests, in email, by me and my supervisor had vanished into the ether. This morning, having been told it had worked for someone else, I asked the IT guy and general factotum in person; he handed me my card ten minutes ago. There may be a lesson in this.

Sorting out a hotel room for the Farthing Party is currently waiting on talking to someone who works 8-4 (I'd called about 4:30, guessing 9-5).
