Which NetHack Monster Are You?
(My second choice was troll.)
Before catching up with LJ (I found that quiz in
the_maenad's journal), I went to the eye doctor (all is well) and the gym.
It was a shorter than usual workout because I had to fit it between the eye doctor and having a friend come by for the afternoon.
Hip adduction: 105 pounds, 3 sets of 13.
Hip abduction: 95 pounds, 2 sets of 12.
Cardio, 20 minutes, top heart rate 153.
Seated leg curl: 80 pounds, 15 reps, then 4. I cut the second set off abruptly because I'd had trouble getting the padded bar above my thighs to settle properly, and my right calf cramped up.
Triceps pulldown: 35 pounds, 3 sets of 14.
Adjustable row: 110 pounds, 3 sets of 15. My grip weakened significantly by the end of the third set, but while the last 2 reps felt as though the handle might slip loose, I hung on successfully,
Crunches: 4 sets of 20
Back arches: 3 sets of 15
Cat-and-camel, several yoga trees. A little off balance on the left leg, not surprising after a layoff from these.
Lateral raise: 5 pounds per hand, 2 sets of 15
Stretches
Then I hurried home via the bakery, and made myself a brie-and-apple sandwich on rye for lunch. When Kate got here, about 20 minutes after I got home, it turned out she hadn't had lunch, so I made her a cheese sandwich. Then she hung out with me and
cattitude for a couple of hours, and we had fine rambling conversation before she headed back to Brooklyn.
Also, more of my crocuses are open, and I have high hopes of forsythia before the end of March.
