I decided that pretending I wanted to exercise might get some weights lifted. It worked for a bit, then I went "Feh!" in mid-set, stopped, showered, and came home. [livejournal.com profile] cattitude has pointed out to me that one "Feh!" does not a pattern make, and I suspect part of that reaction may have been to a crowded weight room and having to wait for equipment I'm used to having when I want it.

The annoying, and possibly worrisome, aspect is that my right shoulder was sore last night, and again this morning: I took ibuprofen right after breakfast, which did seem to help, and was careful about icing it during the workday. I suspect this has more to do with writing "VR 8/8" on page after page of proofs than with anything at the gym, though.

In any case, here are the numbers: Cardio, 11:15, top heart rate 126. (More than minimal warmup, but not a serious cardio session)
Calf machine, 80 pounds, 2 sets of 12; 77.5 pounds, 12
Leg press, 230 pounds, 2 sets of 12
Leg curl, 95 pounds, 12, 10; 80 pounds, 15
Bicep curl, 35-pound bar, 3 sets of 15
Tricep pulldown, 45 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Wrist curl, 30 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Adjustable row, 80 pounds, 10.

No stretches at the end: the device I use had a towel draped over it and a large bottle of cleaning stuff next to it. But I did the after-exercise stretches as I went, as usual.
