I have, optimistically, bought airline tickets to visit
rysmiel in Montreal next month. "Optimistically" because my gut is still not entirely well, and I don't know how I'll be feeling in a few weeks.
I am very glad that airlines are now required to give you a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of purchase, because I'd decided on an afternoon flight from here to Montreal, but when I got the itinerary email it had me traveling at 6:30 in the morning, which I really didn't want. This was after two rounds of selecting flights, trying to pay, and having the site tell me to start over, after which I switched browsers to Firefox, and tried again.
I bought the cheapest possible ticket, and once I'm sure I'm traveling I will pay for the checked bag; I'm not paying for seat selection because there are no middle seats on these planes. It didn't seem worth paying twice as much to get tickets that include a checked bag and seat selection, and would allow me to change when I'm traveling.
