I am back in Boston, the trip home having been uneventful. I got to the airport earlier than I had expected, because I was ready to leave
rysmiel's place almost half an hour earlier than I had planned. There was almost no line at either security or US customs "pre-clearance." There were fewer passengers at the airport than pre-pandemic, but the concourse was nothing like as empty as a year ago.
Canada is still requiring masking on flights and in much of the airport, but it wasn't really being enforced in the concourse: in addition to people who were stretching the "but I'm eating" exemption, some were just strolling down the corridor, with masks pulled down or in one hand, and nobody said anything to them. *sigh* I risked removing my mask for food and drink in the airport, and to take a pill while on the airplane, and will try not to fret for the next couple of days. I have nothing planned for tomorrow, and Thursday's appointment is occupational therapy, at an office that is still taking masking and the pandemic seriously.
