For lunch today, I had roast peach and cheese ravioli, from Valicenti Pasta Farm. It was a seasonal offering, which we bought when peaches were in season, put in the freezer, and then ignored, in part because [personal profile] cattitude isn't eating as much dairy as he used to.

My reaction when I cut into one was that it tasted like dessert. I shouldn't have been surprised: peaches are sweet, and roasting might intensify that. It was a nice lunch, with just a bit of butter (I tried olive oil on one first, but the butter worked better). I'm thinking the other half package might make a good side dish for the two of us, some day Cattitude is in the mood for sweet and not worried about eating cheese. Or, I can eat it some other time when I'm home by myself at lunchtime and a lunch that's halfway to a bowl of peaches and cream sounds reasonable.
