For lunch today, I had roast peach and cheese ravioli, from Valicenti Pasta Farm. It was a seasonal offering, which we bought when peaches were in season, put in the freezer, and then ignored, in part because
cattitude isn't eating as much dairy as he used to.
My reaction when I cut into one was that it tasted like dessert. I shouldn't have been surprised: peaches are sweet, and roasting might intensify that. It was a nice lunch, with just a bit of butter (I tried olive oil on one first, but the butter worked better). I'm thinking the other half package might make a good side dish for the two of us, some day Cattitude is in the mood for sweet and not worried about eating cheese. Or, I can eat it some other time when I'm home by myself at lunchtime and a lunch that's halfway to a bowl of peaches and cream sounds reasonable.
