I am still jet lagged (four days after arriving, I've yet to sleep past 5:30 a.m.) and have a cold, but got a full night's sleep last night by turning in st 9:30, which helped. I even did a little editing work early this morning; it's freelance and they don't care exactly when I do it, as long as it gets done.

roadnotes had a job interview this morning a few blocks from my temporary apartment, and we have just spent a pleasant few hours talking. (We had meant to do something yesterday, but were stymied by a dead cell phone.)
The maples are in bloom here, right next to where we're staying, and there are apple blossoms at the Bellevue Transit Center. The cherries are beginning, and there's lots of periwinkle, some of it white. Furthermore, the tap water tastes basically right, which is going to make this move significantly easier for me.
