What are you reading right now?
Liars and Outliers, by Bruce Schneier. I'm now a few chapters in. So far I like it, but nothing has felt like a revelation: this isn't necessarily a flaw in the book, I've been reading Bruce's blog for years, and he's written about these themes before.
What did you recently finish reading?
Cranford, by Elizabeth Gaskell. I liked this for the narrative voice. I got a feeling for the namesake town, but more in terms of the people who lived there than the buildings or landscape.
What do you expect to read next?
I'm not sure. I finished Cranford two subway stops from home last night, and have spent the day doing useful job-hunting/preparation things on the computer, in between laundry and petting the cat. Possibly either Magic's Child by Justine Larbalestier, Hallucinations by Oliver Sacks (or at least part of it), or something I have on the kindle (better for travel than library books).
