Belated workout

I was supposed to go to the gym yesterday evening and work with Emilie, but I was tired all day after getting up a little after 6 (cattitude was up even earlier than that, to catch a plane for a business trip), so I called and canceled. Dinner last night was sardines and cucumber salad, because it was the easiest meal I could put together from what was in the house.

My plan had been to get up, wash and eat, and head downtown to work out and maybe do some shopping. It hadn't occurred to me that I might sleep late, but I did. I woke around 9:30 to a gray sky and the sound of heavy rain. Rather than dash out, I did useful things here in the morning, then had lunch and got on the subway. I didn't push myself: a middle-sized workout and then came home via the local supermarket, rather than going out of the way and getting interesting bread, or frozen ravioli, or anything. The machine I use for several of my regular exercises was broken; I skipped those, rather than looking for a similar machine.
