Let's see:

Woke up too early. I did my usual morning stuff (tea, shower, that sort of thing) and hung out with [livejournal.com profile] cattitude while he packed. After he went to the airport, I wrote an email to [livejournal.com profile] mrissa before going to physical therapy.

PT was much like Wednesday's, except that I arrived early and was taken in a few minutes late. But the same ultrasound, stretches, and exercises (with a weight and with the hand bike). I grabbed a quick (and not very good) lunch nearby, and realized while paying for it that I'd forgotten my copay for the PT, so I went back and took care of that. My next PT session won't be for two weeks, but I think I have a handle on the exercises and stretches as "homework" (which I might be able to do some of at the gym).

Then I took the A train downtown and went to the gym. I decided the PT and the walk to the gym would have to count as cardio, because time was a little short. I also decided to start the things I hadn't done on Wednesday.

Life and buses being like that, after my relatively brief workout I sat in the sunlight on the post office stairs for a half hour, doing a sudoku while waiting for [personal profile] adrian_turtle's bus. That time in the sun, and that Adrian is resting while I write this, are probably why I started to title this post "a quiet day."

(Also, there's a dogwood in bloom on Seaman Avenue, and we saw a few lilac blossoms open on 207th Street yesterday afternoon. Very large weather we're having.)
