adrian_turtle asked me to stop at the Cambridge Farmers' Market on Friday for bread and salad. I got bread, and cucumbers—and some good ripe peaches, and a box of Vanessa grapes. Vanessas are wine grapes, mostly, small and reddish, with only a few seeds. I hadn't had any in years: there's a farmer who brings them to the Union Square Greenmarket on Saturdays, but nowadays
cattitude and I have a Greenmarket in our own neighborhood. The winery that comes to our market brings only wine, not grapes. So I'm enjoying them, and I'm pleased that Adrian likes them. (We finished the peaches yesterday, because ripe peaches don't keep.)
Today, also part of Redbird maintenance, Adrian suggested I go to the gym. She came to Davis Square with me, and did a bit of shopping while I exercised, then drank tea. We went over to Porter Square for lunch. I had eel donburi, and then got a chocolate ice cream cone before we came home. Laundry has been done, and I think that's all the diligence we need for the day.
