It's cool and rainy and I am glad.
I spent the weekend feeling overheated and drained, and in fact didn't sleep well last night either, so I am still rather drained. When I left work this afternoon, it was raining, moderately. I put on my hat, to keep my glasses dry, and left my umbrella in my pack so I could feel the rain. A nice walk from my office to Penn Station, with a quick stop at a drugstore, and then uptown on the A. Most of the people I saw, downtown and up, were using umbrellas. I realize that "If I use my umbrella, I won't get rained on" is usually the point, but this particular afternoon, I wanted to feel the rain, and I didn't want to bother dealing with an open umbrella. (Cool here means low to mid-20s C/mid-70sF, no wind to speak of, and rain probably about the same temperature as the air.)
