[livejournal.com profile] cattitude and I went out for dim sum with [livejournal.com profile] eleanor, [livejournal.com profile] roadnotes, [livejournal.com profile] baldanders, and our friend P. Much good food was eaten--as usual, most of the really good stuff came around after we'd gotten pretty full on things we didn't like as much. (And the congee was a complete loss--I think they'd put fermented seaweed in it, or something.) Roadnotes, Baldanders, and I went to Sahadi for assorted useful or amusing foodstuffs afterwards, then to our respective homes.

And now I'm wiped out. It doesn't help, I suspect, that my knees have been aching, or that I overdid something computerwise to the point that my hand was hurting. Or that I'm fighting some kind of cold. Who invented February?

Who indeed? Jordin and I were just discussing the dreadfulness of February earlier this week. Everywhere I have ever lived, Feb. is by far the worst month of weather. Why is that? Neither of us know.

In Oklahoma, February is when you get ice storms. In Seattle, at least this year, February has been colder and greyer and wetter than any of the others. In spite of the fact that the days are already noticeably longer. Doesn't get dark until after 5pm now -- it was @ 4:30pm in December.

At least it's the shortest month of the year.
