redbird: closeup of me drinking tea, in a friend's kitchen (Default)

An old friend of mine has recently set up a blog at blogspot.

My attempts to comment are vanishing. It let me log in using my google account, but the comment I'd written vanished. As did a second one. It's being recalcitrant about copy/paste, which is why I've now written the comment three times. Blogspot also claims to support livejournal login, but ignored my attempts use it.

Any thoughts? I'm running Firefox 3.5.3, with AdAware and NoScript. I have successfully posted to blogspot before, but with an earlier version of Firefox.

OK, it's going to need to be Tuesday and Thursday gym this week; I can do this, at one time I was doing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of most weeks, so I know that interval is okay. (That I can't find three days/week of time for the gym is a separate matter. The gym has replaced some of the equipment recently, and today there were "New equipment" tags on some things, encouraging people to ask trainers about that equipment. But some of the new equipment wasn't so labeled, and there was one "new" sign on a wall in the free weight area, near one of the weight benches, which I don't think is new. (Since they're all movable, it may have been meant for a different device.) The main thing, though, is that none of this is new in the sense of "they didn't used to have one of these"; they're replacements for gear that's been there a while.

Also, we voted this morning: and a block after we left the polling place, I realized I'd gotten distracted by a judgeship and missed the proposed constitutional amendments. *sigh* For the record, I voted for the "Rent Is Too High" candidate for comptroller; my incumbent (Democratic) city councilman, who I like because he successfully sued the state for better funding for the city schools; and the Socialist Workers Party for public advocate and Manhattan borough president. Nobody, not even the Socialist Workers or Libertarians, both of whom have mastered the art of getting on the ballot in New York State, bothered to put up a candidate for Manhattan District Attorney, so Cy Vance Jr., who won the Democratic primary, gets the job.
