(no subject)

It has been a low-energy weekend here--both adrian_turtle and I seeming to need a lot of rest. So, no parties or adventures, but we did clean her air conditioner and do a few other useful things (of the sort that one does every week rather than every year or three).

The bus trip up here was a little more draining than I'd hoped (as well as taking longer).

I need to remember that I am still getting over surgery, and healing takes some energy that I would otherwise use for more visible things. And that it's going to take time and work to get those abdominal and back muscles back into shape (my back twinged this morning, is why I'm thinking about that).

On the positive side, not only am I having a weekend with Adrian, but I looked at the surgical incisions last night, and it seems clear that at least two will heal without scarring. (The one in the center of my chest, and the one in the navel, may or may not.)

Yes, I am still low in energy. However, when cattitude asked if I was off the Vicodin and Percoset, because he wanted to know about using wine in tonight's dinner, the answer was that I haven't taken so much as an aspirin since Friday.

So, yes I'm tired. Yes, my back twitched earlier in the weekend. But mostly things don't hurt right now.
