While I was making tea this morning, the receiving and supply guy came over and told me that Anika (office manager) was out but had asked him to find me a chair. We discussed the matter briefly, and I tried the two available chairs. I am now sitting in one of them. It's not perfect: a perfect chair would have a "don't tilt back" setting. But it is a lot better than what it replaced: I can raise and lower the seat. (It also swivels, which is nice but not important.) The chair came with an apology for having forgotten all about the problem.
