At least it needs doing

I'm moderately sure that what I'm doing at the instant is a repeat of work someone else did a fortnight ago, but that copy of the book, with appropriate flags where errors were found, has gone walkabout, and redoing the work is probably more efficient than trying to find it, in an area where everyone is either still unpacking or complaining about the move and related morale issues.

I also am moderately sure I'm doing a better and more thorough job of it than the other person--I'm a trained editor and have a history background, and the cheerful temps Edie hired to work with us on this are neither. (They're bright, they just don't have the background or that particular eye.)

I just hope the work order for my lamp is fulfilled soon: it's not the task that's giving me a headache, it's the lighting, or defects thereof.
