I had what may be the last physical therapy session--or the last that HIP (insurance co.) will pay for--today. Apu and I seem agreed that I could benefit from more sessions, but when I asked him what it would cost me if the insurance won't cover it, all I got was some confusion about how to get the insurer to do so. Eventually I talked to the receptionist, who deals with such things, and she said that no, the PT office doesn't contact the insurer, that's my/my GP's job. Well, I'm seeing the GP on Friday, anyhow, and I can call HIP on Monday and find out how much they cover and whether there are exceptions.

The bathroom faucet has been dripping for quite some time; I asked [livejournal.com profile] cattitude to replace the washer, as the super showed him how to do a few iterations back, and show me how. The result is that (a) I have seen it done, and done bits of it myself, and (b) the faucet is leaking worse than before, to the point where I decided that enough was enough and turned the cold water valve under the sink back to off. With the shower/bath controls we have, we'll have to turn it back on to get any water in the bathtub/shower.

I also bundled up some magazines and newspapers for recycling, and fixed [livejournal.com profile] julian_tiger's favorite toy, a cloth mouse on a string. Every so often, the string needs replacing--it's a pounce game--and having misplaced the scissors, we hadn't done that for a while. But we have new scissors (and I found the previous set halfway down the recycling stack), so I cut another length of string, and then Julian and I played mousie for a while. He's a happy boy.

Cattitude and I also made an early Greenmarket run, resulting in corn for lunch (yum!), strawberries, and apple raspberry cider.

This is at least enough for a day on which I was supposed to be taking it easy.
