We ate lots of dim sum, because there were only two of us but we wanted variety. Then we took the B51 bus across the Manhattan Bridge, went to Sahadi because she wanted walnuts, and then to her house. (My shopping list had no Sahadi's items: I still spent $22, but that includes two meals worth of chicken sausage and a couple more of duck pate, plus stuff I'll use soon enough, like lime curd.)
By the time we got back to her apartment, I was noticeably flagging. I drank tea while she did loosely domestic things. Eventually we made vanilla ice cream (it was meant to be cinnamon-vanilla, but simmering cinnamon sticks in cream for a few minutes didn't produce a noticeable cinnamon flavor), which I ate.
I got home a bit after seven, tired; Cattitude got home a little later, bearing a new laser printer. We sent for a pizza for supper: I dropped the box while paying the delivery person, losing three slices (out of eight), which is annoying but suggests I was right not to try cooking.
