By mid-afternoon, the caffeine wasn't really working. Neither was the Advil: the silver lining on that cloud is that at least the ache in my shoulder was keeping me from falling asleep. (I got this gig because the previous temp fell asleep at his desk.)

I called catamorphism from the railroad train and cancelled our tentative plans to get together, on the grounds that I'd be lucky to stay awake long enough to get home.
