Happy birthday,
rivka!
Since I'm in "must rest" mode, my mother came uptown to visit me while she's here. She brought rye bread--as requested--and a fruit tart, and we drank lots of tea, talked, and played Scrabble. A good visit. Some family gossip, of course, and some political news/gossip. I also set her up a LiveJournal account, so she can read my friends-only posts. It currently has a friends-list consisting only of this account. (I'll leave it to her to decide whether to publicize the username.)
cattitude ducked out, mid-afternoon, to pick up a prescription for me and buy some groceries. The drugstore didn't have my medicine. Never mind that they ask for a phone number to call "in case the pharmacist has a question", apparently "our machine told you it would be ready at 9 a.m. Friday and it's Sunday and we still don't have any" isn't a question. Which means I get to call after seeing my doctor and find out the status and whether it's worth going over, or what to do if they don't.
