rysmiel's birthday by wandering around town, looking at and eating and smelling assorted delightful things, and much conversation. (Smelling because Jon Singer was one of the group.) It was delightful to see Rysmiel, papersky, and zorinth again, in a smaller group than at Minicon; to hang out with Singer, ditto; to meet Lisa (to whom Jon FedEx'ed the dim sum) and actually get to talk to Rysmiel's mother Mary. More details later, on everything from Peruvian food to oddities of border "security."
