My foot has been bothering me for the last few days, in a way that I suspect means that I managed to bruise it. So I'm trying to rest it, without going stir-crazy. This after
cattitude and I wandered around Brooklyn a bit to have dinner with
roadnotes and
baldanders on an evening when the MTA was doing more than the usual number of annoying service changes. Thus, I've taken a short walk in the park--fresh air and sunlight are important--but not schlepped a heavy pail of water for my flower garden, nor gone down to the drugstore for dental floss, or the bank to deposit my last unemployment check. Tomorrow for all that, I hope.
But the dinner was nice, and my clover transplants seem to be taking. I sent out a resume--actual paper resume, in an envelope, to a NY Times box number--this morning. Since I'm not going to the gym today, I did a few bicep curls, sitting on the bed, and will try to do more later. A kind-of sort-of pieced-together day, but not a wasted one.
