We heard rain outside, and Andy announced that he needed to go out and stand in it. I said "I need to go with you" and asked him to summon the elevator while I put shoes on.
By the time we'd waited for the elevator, and explained to the downstairs neighbor that she was welcome to ask a question, but outside (H: "It's raining." Me: "Exactly") there was only a light rain falling.
We went out and looked at waterbirds, then strolled down to the inlet where the swans live, anyhow. Stood around for a bit, and the other edge of the rain came by. Wet, we watched a cormorant catch and eat a nice big fish.
It made up for the big willow that fell overnight, and was still lying there, leaves still fresh enough to be silvery in the wind.
Now I'm back in, with milk and sugar and beer and a half gallon of ice cream, and the sun is out again.
