It's just a winter cold. And a cold winter.
I went outside Saturday, just for a walk in the cold bright air, got some groceries, came home, felt wiped out.
And I went out Sunday, to see Velma and Soren. By then I knew I wasn't well, but I wanted to see them.
Monday morning, I was sick, and the radio was saying rain and snow and misery. I called in sick. Now it's bright out, but I'm not much better. I reached a coworker, and apparently half my department is out sick, so I might be feeling this way even if I hadn't seen Velma, even if I hadn't gone out because I wanted light and air on Saturday.
But I have a ticket for Lily Tomlin tonight, and it would be both stupid (given my health, and the weather) and rude to use it (sneezing is distracting at best, and spreading this cold to friends and strangers would be unkind).
Feh. If I'm really lucky, they'll let me use the ticket later.
