I got back to the gym this morning. I did a good workout, skipping a few things that involve the shoulders or neck, because there's a muscle connecting my left shoulder to my neck that's still a little stiff and tender.

Cardio, 33 minutes, top heart rate 147
Calf machine, 45 pounds, 15; 40 pounds, 2 sets of 15

Tricep pulldown, 40 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Seated leg curl, 85 pounds, 12; 80 pounds, 2 sets of 15

Crunches, 4 sets of 20
Arches, 3 sets of 16
Yoga tree: a bit wobbly. No surprise, last night I was muttering that I had "the dexterity of a peanut".

Bicep curls, 35 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Wristcurls, 5 pounds each hand, 3 sets of 15
Leg press, 235 pounds, 3 sets of 13

Stretches
I feel it in my forearms; I expect my quads to be complaining tomorrow, but I'm not planning much physical exertion then.

After the exercise, I went down to Chinatown for an early lunch. Duck congee, with ginger and scallion: good, as usual. I came home with a box of grape tomatoes ($1, instead of the $2.50 or more I'm seeing in stores elsewhere), a pound of baby bok choi, and the season's first clementines. I've eaten two. One was a bit sour, the other was just about perfect.
