I went out last night and met [livejournal.com profile] roadnotes and a bunch of other cool people, including meeting [livejournal.com profile] fimbrethil and her sweeties. Chuck seemed surprised and delighted to see me, and we attempted to catch up on how-many years quickly, and commiserated with each others' ailments. We all listened to and sang along with music, and ate good chocolate, and Chuck played his saxophone, and I came home late and with my hair reeking of smoke. And I woke up around 7:15 the first time (which was less than six hours' sleep), and 9 the second. But I don't think that's why I've been tired all day, and didn't even start on my paid work until after lunch. I still, or again, have a bit of cough, and didn't work out today. *sigh* A gym closer to home would be nice. (There isn't one, in any useful sense, meaning one that wouldn't involve a significant subway trip: getting off the train one stop sooner doesn't signify.)

I paid a stack of bills this morning, utilities and health insurance (my last month of COBRA! Eep! Does anyone know where I find the information on NY State continuation insurance, or whatever they call it exactly?) and a credit card bill, and that leaves me feeling nervous about money. But I want to do Minicon and will do Wiscon (sorry, [livejournal.com profile] rysmiel, but that's a very long-standing priority).

We may be having a friend drop by this evening, depending on how her schedule works out. (She's spoken to our answering machine, and we haven't spoken to her; it'll happen or not.)
