redbird | word count; con fragments (Reply)

I now have no idea how many words I have written. I just added a couple of short paragraphs to one of my chapters--they're each in separate Word documents--and asked the computer for a word count. The number it gave me is about 200 less than I copied into my "word count" file, and I know I didn't delete anything.

So I know I've been writing, but I have much less confidence in any evidence of how fast, or how much. Adjusted total is 12,118, and a guess that I've done about 600 today.

My arms ache, perhaps from carrying stuff awkwardly yesterday.

I am an honorary con suite goddess, for assorted helping without being asked, just lots of little stuff like getting out more butter when needed. *purr* The official con suite goddess kept everyone well fed, and me adequately supplied with real tea.

I introduced

wandra to their very first hot tub, and we soaked and talked this morning. Most excellent.

The decadent Sunday brunch was. Life is uncertain, and you have to eat the good stuff first--which led to me alternating fallen chocolate souffle with roasted vegetables.

If someone makes a rule "don't climb the house", you can bet that their children have already done this.
