I got a charming email from DDB an hour or two ago--an emailed rassef award, so as not to spoil the effect of the post he was responding to. This all related to a recent troll invasion.
I sent him a thank you.
And got email from an "automated spam reduction system," asking me to confirm that I was a real person and wanted to email him. I did, but grumpily: a decent version of this system would automatically add people the user had written to, rather than demanding people qualify when replying to him.
I included a grumble to this effect in my reply, but I suspect that's not read by a human being.
