I'm going to be rewriting a translated-from-Japanese corporate environmental report. They're working on a fairly tight schedule, but I knew that when I applied for this; it makes it more suitable for someone with not much else going on, rather than (say) someone working a regular job and freelancing. The pay is by the word, which means that whether it's a good rate depends on how quickly I can do stuff.

The good part is that it's real work, in my field, coming at a very opportune time (since the unemployment insurance has run out). Also, the person it's through says that if it goes well, there might be more work from this company. Or, I suspect, other projects from the agency in question.

It'll mean less time on LiveJournal and Usenet for a bit, I expect--but LJ support can cope without me for a few days, as can the Wikipedia.
