On my way to the subway this afternoon, I realized that I didn't want to go to the gym. Not that I wanted to do something else, or that I disliked the idea of exercise: it was a general "don't want to" reaction to doing anything. So I went anyway: it's not as though I especially wanted to turn around and sit on the couch with a book, either. Just general stress.

The workout itself went pretty well, though I think it would have been smoother if I'd been calmer. But that'll take time, and more information.

Cardio, 8 minutes, top heart rate 135: I didn't have time for more than basic warmup today.
Rolled out IT band etc.
Hamstring bridge, 4 sets of 9
Some new ab work that Emilie introduced at our previous session, with me lying on my back, a squishy ball under my pelvis, and doing various things with my legs up or out. This definitely works my abs, and throws in some balance stuff.

Squats, 3 sets of 15
Calf raises, 3 sets of 15
Catch, with me standing on the foam roller (this is where I noticed I wasn't as steady as usual, but it meant stepping off sooner/more frequently than ideal, not falling or coming close to falling)
Quite a bit of balance work on the half roller, which did go pretty smoothly
Opposite arm/leg balance exercise, 10 pairs (I wanted to be down on the ground for a minute, because you can't fall off the floor)
Lunges, 10 with each foot forward, then another 10 with the right foot forward (with my left foot forward, my left knee hurt, as on Tuesday, so I only did one set of those)

Rowing with elastic, 12 standing; then sitting on a ball, 2 sets of 12
Lat pulldown, 50 pounds, 2 sets of 12; one foot, 7 each
Standing pushups, 11, 10?
Hug a tree, 20 pounds, 3? sets of 12
Back exercise, 25 pounds, 2 sets of 12; one foot, 6 each
Triceps pulldown, 25 pounds, 2 sets of 12
