We sliced the berries for the fruit crisp.

We did not, however, peel them, and no yogurt or gummy bears have been harmed in the preparation of this dessert.

Also, we didn't start with the Ideologically Labile Fruit Crisp, though we quoted bits from memory. (The recipe we used is from a book called something like "Quick Vegetarian Cooking.")


(Other than that, we have had a simple but tasty Thanksgiving dinner. It turns out that a properly selected pan of roast vegetables can satisfy different people's strong desires for onions, sweet potatoes, and a non-root vegetable, without any last-minute or finicky prep.
