The good stuff: last night,
cattitude and I had dinner with
roadnotes. We caught each other up on our lives: this was mostly me telling Roadnotes about the trip to England, and a little about
rysmiel's visit here, and her telling me what's going on with her and
baldanders. Cattitude is mostly having a quiet life right now, which suits.
I spent a lot of time yesterday and today on the phone either talking to people at Delta Airlines, or waiting on hold for the chance to do so, in order to get the refund for the ticket I didn't use because they'd misbooked it and cancel and rebook was, I was assured on March 5, the best way to do this. I think it's all sorted out now. It is supposed to be five to seven business days, and the woman in refunds who I spoke to twice (sheer chance that I got her both times) said she would check into it next Friday. If the refund hasn't processed by then, I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company. All this time on the phone and on hold did not improve my productivity, and I still have looming deadlines.
I went to the gym after work, but it was a brief workout, in part because I was feeling damp and uninspired, which inclined me to react to both joint pain and muscle aches by stopping instead of going and doing a different exercise.
Cardio, 10 minutes, top heart rate 140
Leg press, 375 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Chest press, 50 pounds, 2 sets of 12
Calf raise, 70 pounds, 17; 60 pounds, 15 (my calves were feeling sore as I walked to work today)
Adjustable row, 70 pounds, 15, 10
Biceps curl, 10 pounds each hand, 2 sets of 20
Balance ~fly, 50 pounds, 2 sets of {15 with each foot forward}
Crunches, 30, 8 (the right shoulder was feeling sore so I stopped)
Back arches, 17

This sounds very similar, in effect, to your hypothesis.
