I took your advice. It got me an answer saying that he had seen my request on the newsgroup, and demanding to know why we can interact on the newsgroup but not in email. Rather than explain to him that I have had him killfiled on Usenet for years, I have forwarded his message--the one that admits that he knows I have asked him not to email him--to abuse@verizon.net. We shall see if anything comes of it.
