cattitude is basically over--at least, it looks like the same cold. I just called my boss to explain I won't be in today, and she expressed her sympathy and told her I'm doing a smart thing. She asked about my timesheet, and I explained that I hadn't signed it before I left on Friday, so my pay for last week will have to be delayed. I could have asked her to get someone to forge my signature, but it's not necessary--yes, I'm working because they pay me, but our finances are not such that waiting a week for the same amount of pay will affect anything. She also checked what I'm working on and what the deadline on that is--quicker than looking at her notes--and there's enough time that we're not going to worry. (I don't have the relevant software here at home, so the options are to wait or ask someone else to do it.)
