redbird: "No fear, only tea"--from July 2005 (no fear)

I think several people on my friends list can use this

I know it won't solve all your problems, but take a few minutes, sit down, have a cup of tea.

Would you believe I did it a couple nights ago? I think it actually helped a little.

I think I'm kinda happy I'm not writing about all of my drama. People who share friends with me must be so dramad (...?) out already.

the drama song?

[identity profile] callunav.livejournal.com 2005-10-06 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
here's a drama
there's a drama
and another little drama
fuzzy drama
funny drama
drama drama
duck

Sorrysorrysorry. I don't know what came over me, I just couldn't resist. I know drama isn't funny - except sometimes it has to be just so you can get through it.

Tea is good.

snerk!

Drama isn't funny (and [livejournal.com profile] wild_irises had a nice post admonishing us not to dismiss other folks' drama a while back) but the song is.

I picked up the phrase "riding the drama llama" from [livejournal.com profile] eeyorerin and have been enjoying it rather a lot.

That actually raises a disturbing image for me, as I've recently had to read the children's book Is your mama a llama?

I love that book!

Maybe that's the three-L lllama Ogden Nash said he'd never heard of.

Or perhaps

a relative of the dramadary?

I keep green and white tea at my desk. A big mug helped with my new-glasses headache today.

Not at all a bad idea. Perhaps I'll take some time for tea at work tomorrow.

I don't know whether it's my British ancestry showing through or what, but I always want to take a break and drink something refreshing at 4 p.m.

Tea is Good. Long live tea!

(I have some every day, thanks.)

Tea!

Thanks, I think I will. Does iced tea count? I usually drink tons of that until it's just too cold to think of drinking anything cold. Then hot tea until it's too hot to think of drinking anything hot. You also reminded me I have a quilt I want to make - tea cup blocks!

Might I have a glass of milk instead?

[identity profile] apuent.livejournal.com 2005-10-07 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, tea is wonderful. Had 4 cups of Yerba Maté earlier, and some black tea right now. MMM MMM!

Thank you. I have no problems (no, really), and I have a horrendous tea habit anyway (Yom Kippur being about the only day I don't drink several pints), but I still really appreciate this post. Thank you for being concerned about your friends list, and thank you for giving such sensible advice.
